to build faith in a younger generation who will . . . reveal miracles
While my children were outside playing one day, they noticed a medium sized frog that had been badly injured. The frog was actually dead. No breathing and it's stomach contents were actually hanging out of it's mouth (still attached) as a result of it's injuries. I apologize for the graphic details, but it's important to know for the rest of the story.
Out of compassion, my children began praying life for this completely dead frog. Little by little the frog shakes a bit, so they continue praying. Eventually we see his lungs expand and it begins breathing! Encouraged, the children continue praying for life and the frog opens it's eyes, sits up a bit and slurps his stomach and intestines back into it's mouth!! I know that's gross, but it's exactly how it happened! My kids were amazed.
Then, we began to pray he could hop again. At first he was limping but the more we prayed the better it got until he was hopping completely, as though it had never been injured!
You might ask, 'What is the purpose of this story'? I believe the purpose is to build faith in a younger generation who will be using these experiences to reveal miracles that lead others to the Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit!
